I&#39;m still running, arms wide open...

After the fact, Cain, back in his own clothes, finds the drinks and manages to get his hands on a few.

From:

Molly (freshly arrived from school just in time to see Cain's walk down the stage) snags a flute of champagne before sneaking up behind him amd giving his rear end a pinch.

"You looked good up there."

From:

Cain grins and hugs her.

"Thanks love. Felt nervious and a little on show, but not bad all in all."

From:

"Not bad at all," she agrees with a smile, leaning in to plant a firm kiss on his lips. "And this champagne beats the butterbeer they're passing around the common room right now."

She sips ans sighs happily.

"Exams are officially over!"

From:

He grins and hugs her again.

"Excellent! When do you leave Hogwarts? I guess I should ge ready to meet the folks, huh?"

From:

"Another week, then yes! I can hardly wait!"

She looks around at all of the other models and spectators.

"This is some gathering! Is a fashion show a Muggle invention? I don't think the wizarding world has anything quite like this."

From:

He grins at her.

"I have no idea. I hadnt heard of one till you esplained what Clive's note meant... I guess it must be if you haven't heard of them."

From:

"Or Clive just made it up!" Molly concludes cheerfully. "Either way, it's a good way to show off the things he designed. He's got an interesting imagination."

From:

He laughs.

"Maybe."

He grins.

"Yes, he does. Maybe he can design something for you soemtime..."

He arches an eyebrow at her.

From:

She laughs at that. Despite his ongoing campaign to get her to be more daring with her wardrobe, Molly still tends to favor long skirts and what must seem old-fashioned dresses.

"Maybe so. Who knows?"

She eyes some of the women's outfits that have been on display, and thinks that many of them are very lovely.

"Then when he is famous, we can say that we knew him when he was just getting started."

There is humor in her eyes. Anything is possible at Milliways, and they both know it.

He grins.

"You never know."

he hugs her close and grips one of her hands.

"For now, I am thinking a retreat is in order and some time in hot water with the woman I love sounds just right..."

"Normally, I would say you should stay and mingle more, but I only have a couple of hours before I'll be missed."

She drains her flute of champagne, and sets it on a nearby table, and then takes his hand as they sneak away for some alone time.

Angela comes over, her hair still in the crown Clive wove in it, and nudges Cain. "Hey. You did good out there."

She's still shaking a little with adrenaline from nervousness.

From:

Cain smiles at her.

"You too. Very nice moves. This your first time?"

He nods.

"Get you a drink?"

He waves to the refreshments.

From:

"Yeah, definitely a drink," she says. "And yes, definitely first time, too. I never would have done it in my world, but Milliways is way different."

She grins. "How are you doing?"

From:

He leads the way to the refreshment table where they find some drinks.

He ducks his head, one shoulder lifting in a shrug.

"Okay I guess. This is a little odd for me, but, it isnt something that bothers me. People seemed to like the whole thing, so... yay?"

From:

"Yay," Angela answers back, smiling. "And Clive is totally cool to model for, so it was good."

From:

He grins.

"He was indeed. Not a bad boss to have for soemthing like this. Thought I had never heard of fashions shows before I got his note. My previous self must have, but I didnt."

Being as this is militimed before all the Molly doom, he smiles.

"How have you been? You look good, and that smile looks good on you."

From:

"Thanks. I've been okay. Better in some ways, worse in others, but that's how it goes sometimes. I'm doing well today, and that's what counts."

For the most part. It's difficult without Melou here. She doesn't feel quite as safe, but she tries not to worry.

From:

Cain nods and just offers hand on her shoulder for a moment, offering comfort, then he nods.

"I hope you find your path getting easier."

Then he grins as he glances around.

"So, would you do this again?"

From:

Angela thinks for a moment. "Yeah, I think I would. But I understand that the bigger shows are really tough on the models."

From:

"Really? Why?"

He sips his drink and keep watching around them. The crowd thins out some as time rolls on.

From:

"Lots of changes in clothes and hair in a short time, and most of the time, they're like, practically naked under their clothes. I know some models my age, they hardly get any sleep when they do fashion shows."

From:

He nods, eyes darkening for a moment.

"The more I learn about people, the more I think that far too many lack heart. I wish I knew how to help more people, and ..."

He scrubs his face.

"I suppose first, I have to try to regain my memory."
