Fashion Show

It was a nice enough day to have the fashion show out by the lake, runway set up, chairs, table with snacks, a curtained-off backstage area and everything.

"Yeah, definitely a drink," she says. "And yes, definitely first time, too. I never would have done it in my world, but Milliways is way different."

She grins. "How are you doing?"

He leads the way to the refreshment table where they find some drinks.

He ducks his head, one shoulder lifting in a shrug.

"Okay I guess. This is a little odd for me, but, it isnt something that bothers me. People seemed to like the whole thing, so... yay?"

"Yay," Angela answers back, smiling. "And Clive is totally cool to model for, so it was good."

He grins.

"He was indeed. Not a bad boss to have for soemthing like this. Thought I had never heard of fashions shows before I got his note. My previous self must have, but I didnt."


Being as this is militimed before all the Molly doom, he smiles.

"How have you been? You look good, and that smile looks good on you."

"Thanks. I've been okay. Better in some ways, worse in others, but that's how it goes sometimes. I'm doing well today, and that's what counts."

For the most part. It's difficult without Melou here. She doesn't feel quite as safe, but she tries not to worry.

Cain nods and just offers hand on her shoulder for a moment, offering comfort, then he nods.

"I hope you find your path getting easier."

Then he grins as he glances around.

"So, would you do this again?"

Angela thinks for a moment. "Yeah, I think I would. But I understand that the bigger shows are really tough on the models."

"Really? Why?"

He sips his drink and keep watching around them. The crowd thins out some as time rolls on.

"Lots of changes in clothes and hair in a short time, and most of the time, they're like, practically naked under their clothes. I know some models my age, they hardly get any sleep when they do fashion shows."

He nods, eyes darkening for a moment.

"The more I learn about people, the more I think that far too many lack heart. I wish I knew how to help more people, and ..."

He scrubs his face.

"I suppose first, I have to try to regain my memory."

"It'll probably come back on it's own, but slowly," she says reassuringly.

"Well, the world isn't a very kind place sometimes, but you've got to find the people that you can trust."

He nods, then he smiles.

"That is why I value your friendship. You have never lied to me, and that is a gift I value."

He nods to her in something almost a bow. He sips his drink again.

"I just want to releaen enough to be useful, to do my best."

Angela grins back. She doesn't like to lie, and she won't if she doesn't have to.

"Well, at least you know that Molly loves you, no matter how much you remember."

And his smile widens.

"Yes. And I love her. She is beautiful, and kind, and a wonderful person, and she is my partner, someone I trust implicitly."

he grins goofily.

Angela laughs. "You two are adorable," she says, nudging him playfully with her elbow.

He laughs and sticks out a tongue at her.

"Thanks. I think?"

He nudges her back.

"I hope that all goes well here, the next year. I want to marry her here and make it a wonderful life for her."

His voice is soft as he speaks of Molly.

"I'm totally pulling for you guys. Someone should have a happy ending here."

She grins.

Even if it's not her.

He grins and pokes her gently.

"You never know what will happen for you, Angela. I know I wasnt looking when I fell for Molly."

He smiles.

"But thank you."

Angela isn't expecting anything but a broken heart when it ends.

She doesn't acknowledge that consciously.

"You're welcome."

"Molly should be aroudn here somewhere. Have you managed to see her much lately? I have been just catching her for a few hours here and there, what with her going to school back on Earth..."

He scans the crowd.

"I haven't seen her in ages. I miss her, though, I should totally go find her sometime for a chat."

He nods.

"Yes. I know she misses you, or did the last time I asked, awhile back."

He grins.

"Maybe you cvan come by our rooms sometime?"

"I think that would be nice, seeing the two of you at 'home'."

She grins.

It's always good to visit. Even if she can't leave the bar on her own.
