Fashion Show

It was a nice enough day to have the fashion show out by the lake, runway set up, chairs, table with snacks, a curtained-off backstage area and everything.

Clive grinned, nodding, he fussed with the hem a moment, and then wrinkled his nose, "Hold still." Needle and thread were produced from under the hat, weaving quickly and carefully between the high side of the skirt and the keyhole at the waist, gathering the fabric as he went, hiking it almost all the way to her hip.

He tied it off easily enough, nodding again, "There you go, now just tie the shawl around your waist like so." He shook it out, tying it easily so that it covered the gathered side, "Perfect. Feel okay?"

Angela nodded. "Yeah, it feels pretty good."

It's strange, having something tailored for you. She's never had something fit this well before.

He nodded once more, "Good, looks great. You know what you're doing when you get out there?"

She grins. "Walking nicely and trying not to trip over myself?"

He smiled, nodding, "That'll work. Turn one way once you get out to the end, let them all appreciate the full thing, then turn the other way and let them do the same, then c'mon back. It really is that simple."

He paused then, "Can I try something with your hair first?"

Angela nods. "Sure, whatever you want."

She's open to new things, after all.

He nodded once, fingers working quickly, using the needle and thread once mre, twisting it back from her face and just using quick loops of thread to hold it in place, a sort of feaux braided crown that seemed to be made entirely of hair, "There, and it'll just comb right out when you're done."

Angela looked at herself in the mirror and grinned. "It looks totally cool, Clive. Thanks!"
